Does this count as “meal prep”?
Do you plan out your meals?
What do you consider the most important things in your nutrition?
Almost everyone has said that nutrition is the hardest part of getting healthier, so here are a few things to consider……
A big part of making poor food choices, is something called ‘decision fatigue’. You make around 35,000 decisions every day on average and by the time you get to Lunch or especially Dinner your brain….and willpower is likely smoked and it’s easy to make that “Bad” food decision.
This is why having a plan (maybe not the one in the picture) is so important. And not a plan for every meal, every day. Just pick something you can start with (Lunch and snacks at work).
Planning is a great double tap, you are choosing *what and *how much to eat (while you are thinking clearly, not starving, desperate and out of time).
Here are a few tips:
- Fix (healthy/healthier) things you like.
Don’t punish yourself by trying to eat things you hate (raw Kale).
- Fix enough for several meals during the week.
This will save time by not having to prepare every day.
- Meal guideline:
2 handfuls of vegetables, 1 fist-size portion of carbs, and a palm-size portion of protein.
- Snacks:
Grapes and almonds/ Apple and cashews…..having some healthy fats will help you stay full as well as help fight inflammation.
- Drink water throughout the day
We often mistake hunger for thirst (it is easier to get dehydrated than you think)

Hope this helps!
